Pineapples collection: Pineapples are a common motif in Hawaii (although not native to Hawaii) and a part of the local, plantation history. Around the time I created the PineappShell designs (check them out!), I had the idea of painting pineapples within a pineapple... and this is the result! This design was a mixed-media endeavor: alcohol ink and alcohol markers on a non-absorbant synthetic paper.
